Soaked every exhaust manifold bolt/nut I could reach in PB Blaster and ATF/Acetone "sauce" to prepare for my Doug Thorley LT install this weekend.

"While pre-2007 versions of the engine featured a cast-aluminum intake manifold, they would replace this with a plastic manifold for the post-2007 variations, which many enthusiasts swap out for superior aftermarket alternatives."

Interesting, further reading I discovered "enthusiasts" to be guys that supercharge the thing. Apparently the plastic manifold can't handle the increased pressure.

Finally finished wiring up the winch - it works and it didn’t catch fire!

Stoked with how clean the wiring came out. Took a lot of time to review wiring posts on here, and stayed patient throughout the process.

All wires from solenoid to winch are 2 awg welding cable, with plastic braided sheathing and then wrapped with the heavier duty plastic conduit.

All terminals were crimped with a hydraulic crimp tool. No solder. Marine grade heat shrink over top.

I sold it.

After 105,000 miles over the last 9 years and countless adventures. I am quite sad to see it go. It is certainly the best vehicle I have ever owned.

Goodbye Bruce. 😥
Bittersweet for sure. I’ve always loved those wheels on everything but FJs lol go figure

Ordered the Cross Industries spare tire mount. Will definitely help clean up the rear hatch area.

Threw on some Doug Thorley LT's this weekend onto my new to me 06. My good friend let me borrow his lift/tools for about 17 hours lol.

Lots more photos. Might post more in another thread.

Long job but happy with the results. Helped that the truck wasn't rusty and all the bolts/studs came out with no issues.

Nice! Bluedog makes some nice stuff. I have one on my center console for the SP9100 .

I put a hole in the firewall , a grommet and some wires. Backup video/ and sense for the Phoenix tesla display and a coax for a gmrs radio if I should decide to stick one in there.

I like your setup, did they custom make your console? I don’t recall seeing that particular setup when I was looking at there stuff.

Scroll down, you'll see the surround for the 9100 with the hole for the DAC

So today I installed some rock lights utilizing the factory wiring harness and the existing mounting points for the oem steps. A quick trip to Home Depot for some mounting hardware and it came out pretty good. They come on and turn off just like the oem setup.

Btw, I did the same exact setup and like yours, the lights come on with the door open. They're not switched, I didn't feel like digging in on that one. Just attached to the oem step light harness.

Just recently did these a few months ago! Couldn't be happier with them. Be careful with mud! Sometimes when you go through some thick stuff, it will cover the lights until you clean them up, haha. Scared me one time and I thought "Damn, I just put those in and now they're dead" LOL
