So how’s the rub after the body mount chop and pinch weld hammer? Any idea where you caster is set?
No rub on the pinch seam metal I hammered flat. The body mounts rubbed at full lock in reverse, so I sliced off another ~2mm or so and hammered the front piece back into place. The passenger side will still rub in reverse, but not even enough to wipe the spray paint off. I also had to cut some more of what used to be my running boards as that was making a fun sound when the suspension was compressed and turning sharply. Test flexing shows that there shouldn't be any clearance issues offroad, but I will see for sure this weekend... I can't find my old alignment spec sheet, so can't help you there with the numbers. I can say that I am using the high caster JBA UCAs though.

Last night white knuckle sliders installed and arb awning installed.

Ordered a suspension.... will share more once it comes in.

Went from Pahrump to Las Vegas Nevada via Wheeler Pass. 40 miles off pavement awesome views, temps were great, 7700’, a fun drive for sure

Changed oil, air filter, rear diff fluid and tranny fluid. I couldn't get to the front because of this:

But also did Ophir pass on Monday!

Was a bit windy and we made it down, unlike a late model Camry.

Swapped out passenger cv, not as bad as I thought it would be. TRE was the only thing that gave me in real troubles.

Replaced sway bar bushings and end links. That clunk under my left foot is gone and the front end just feels more tight in general. I should have done this a long time ago.

Looks great! Where did you get the OEM's? Prices seem to be all over the board for those vs the DEPO brand
I got them from Discount parts monster 2005-2009 Lexus GX470 Headlamp Assembly 81130-60A60 | DiscMonster
They used fedex and it was delayed about a week.

Got a link to the replacements you used?

Just got back from a 5-day trip to Central Oregon, Steens Mountain, and the Alvord Desert.
Amazing country...the size and scale of Steens Mountain (a single, fault-block mountain) is incredible. Massive glacial valleys radiate from it in all directions...the picture is of one of the smaller ones.
Lots of driving, absolutely in the middle of nowhere.

New brakes put on all four corners of the wife’s 470. These heavy duty powerstops are brilliant. Stops on a dime with no detectable fade. When these wear out I’ll put on the 460 brakes with another heavy duty brake kit on her. Fun fact, the original calipers looked phenomenal so I kept them on for now. The original rotors were also phenomenal too but had been resurfaced so they had to go.

Looks good through the wheels.

I pulled the running boards off my new-to-me ‘04 this afternoon. Waiting to see if a GXOR member has a set already cut that I can grab; if not they’ll go on the chopping block next weekend.
