Builds What did you do to your Land Cruiser/Toyota/Lexus 4X4 this week?

After taking some time to rebuild the engine myself last year, I can say I'm very happy I'm not dealing with a smoky 80. 😄
Did not know how much power I was lacking and that IT FEELS SO GOOD NOT TO ADD OIL!!! 6k miles in and running like a champ!

Took her up to Prescott so the family can play in some snow.

Simple pleasures and simple fix.
After adding a bumper and winch (200~ pounds) to the front end. The stinkbug look didn't do it for me.
Patted myself on the back for buying those adjustable 5100's. Just moving that snap ring up a 1/2 inch
gave me and inch and a half of lift on the front end and back where it should be.

Good choice. When I had my 3rd gen 4Runner I put these shocks in and made a world of difference, with the bumper and winch I used the stop slot.

Damn I miss that 4Runner, never should of sold it.

Thanks Jason! It fits perfectly!

Been working a lot of overtime lately and figured it is time to get some things buttoned up and some things upgraded on the 80. The guys at Avid pressed in new OEM front & rear panhard bushings this week, now I'm just waiting for the delivery of the following parts so that when they arrive and I have a day (or four) to wrench on the rig... I can.

Land Tank HD Sway Bar Brackets (I'll have the guys at Avid take care of this for me as well because I don't have a welder)
Delta Front Sway Bar Drops

Delta Radius Arms
Land Tank Extreme Duty Rear Lower Control Arms (Stock Length)
Dobinson Adjustable Rear Upper Control Arms

Dobinson MRR 3-Way Adjustable Remote Reservoir 0-3" Shocks (to replace my Fox 2.0 single tubes that can't keep up with current weight)
Delta Hydraulic Bump Stop Holder (Front)
Icon Hydraulic Bump Stops (Front)
Delta Bump Stop Drops (Rear)

Very much looking forward to all of this and will probably post up a report on how the 80 feels after all of this suspension tuning.

Damn that thing is going to have a really nice smooth ride.

Thats the hope! I'm tired of rattling nuts, bolts, and my teeth loose every time I get on a forest road.

This is (me) also scotts94eighty from IG.

Did some snow camping last night on the Mogollon Rim. Yes, the winds were in excess of 40mph and the snow was coming horizontally. The iKamper held up well in tough conditions, disaster averted.

Where did you find an area open. I know Coconino National Forest has been closed for months. Figure other Forest were also.
Take 260 east, turn S. onto Young Hwy, FR 181 east was open there was a big sign stating to go at your own risk, yada yada yada. Everything else was closed.

Excellent. Well done. How loud was the iKamper in that wind?
I did purchase the insulation for the iKamper, and it does keep some noise out. I stress some, as an insulator, works great.

With that said, most tents are going to allow a lot of noise in--you definitely hear the howl of the wind and cracking of branches from the snow, etc.--it's part of camping.

I've attached a short video so you can hear the noise, you can't hardly hear me speaking...which isn't a bad thing...hahaa.
