you beat me to it

Just put some mothers conditioner/protectant on all the rubber door gaskets. Not a sexy upgrade but one that will keep me from having to replace stuff. Now I have 3 or 4 noises to fix once I find the source!

Replaced my worn out 13 year old tires with new 37x17 Cooper STT, Re assembled my gear shifter and transfercase shifter, bolted it back in place, replaced my steering shaft and steering shaft seal, and blew off all the pine needles that have accumulated everywhere.
Then I pushed her back in the carport until next week.

First mod of many. 3rd row seats are going. Anything I should keep or salvage on them before the go in the trash? Or to another csc brother?

it's a 2011, 30k miles. Still has the new car smell. Absolutely pristine. We love it and lots to learn about all the gizmo's. Getting the details sorted out for the lift, ditched the running boards, per the wives immediate suggestion. I will say it is remarkable fast. Gray interior.

Performed some service on my 80:

The good:
Drain and fill on the tranny
Changed the oil in the transfer case.

The bad:
Couldn't get the fill plug on the front diff to budge with 12pt 24mm socket, and couldn't find my 15/16, so diffs will have to wait.

The ugly:
Snapped the center bolt on the transfer case skid plate. Now I need to locate my EzOut kit.

went driving with my daughter again Sunday morning. She is an early bird like myself so we left at 5:30 (of course Starbucks was our first stop!). I had her drive the entire loop in the 80 (has her permit) from Scottsdale and Shea down to the Verde river past Fountain hills, turning at the casino and headed north all the way past Rio Verde and ended up at Needle rock along the river (where 7 mile wash by Bartlett lake Road dumps into the Verde). It was one of the nicest mornings I can remember with the clouds, spotty showers that cleaned up the air, and purple-flowering trees. Ive lived here all my life and only taken this route once before many years ago - need to go more, its a great drive. The groves of pecan trees on the res were impressive.

No pics but we stopped in a wash and put it in 4lo where she drove up a steepish & rutted hill and thought it was awesome :steer:

She loves the 80 (Daddys girl :D) and felt confident driving it back to Scottsdale Road in traffic and all the way home. When she starts driving consistently we will probably look for a car of her own - maybe a Scion...

That 80 looks nice!

Just ordered the parts from Camelback Toyota to refurbish my rear anti roll bar on the 100! Hoping that will get rid of the chattering on small bumps and my first step to smoothing out the ride on this 200k beauty. Next I'll do the front anti roll bar and then upper and lower control arms.

Geez, who sold you such a run down Cruiser? I thought it was in great shape. ;)
