A mess! Got some tools sorted but had a drip in the GMC. Waterpump housing to oil cooler pipe. Turnes into a bigger mess when I tore an o ring going back together. Found all the new parts and got it back together.

Well, it may have been 2.5 times. Water pump did not come off last time. At lease I know what to do on the next one

So, if you are having the symptoms described in the attachment, replacing the shift solenoids fixed it. I did have some minor rpm fluctuation. I did not have any codes for the solenoids. Might be placebo affect but feels like much crisper shifting even before i started having the shifting issue. I ordered all parts including gasket from Cobra Transmission. Exact same solenoids toyota carries but 1/3 the price.

Pulled my injection pump aneroid pin today. I've been running this modified pin for over 2 years with no issues. I contacted the original machine shop and they are going to make me a set of 12 aneroid pins. I plan to start selling them. While I was in the area, I played around with my injection pump tuning. I increased the spring pre-load to the boost compensator and went to a slightly more aggressive fuel ramp rate on my aneroid pin. Max EGT'S stayed in the safe range. Acceleration felt better from a stop, less lag. Perhaps a little better through other ranges too.

Emptied the truck full of junk (and 100lbs of rocks). Gave her a quick rinse. I'll try and wash it for real tomorrow.
Then changed the oil. Filling up was super quick thanks to my new funnel from solve function. I didn't time it, but it was seconds for a gallon of oil.

@Outsane sells them.
Thanks for the reminder, Dave. I just placed an @Outsane Solve Function order for all kinds of stuff I've been putting off!

So when it arrives will you put it off until next year? Thats been my strategy of late 😂

New ac tensioner because the other one was squeaking. The info I found one mud said they are not service able but after taking the old one out and looking at it I think it is. There's a c clip holding the bearing in but is didn't try getting it out since I already had a new one.

I kept smelling burnt rubber whenever I turned on the AC when I was driving back from CO. The bearing was seized and causing the belt to just slide over the tensionor rather than spin so I should replace the belt soon too. Too bad it's only a few months old.

I also fixed my exhaust leak, again. I ordered some new nuts for the y pipe so hopefully this will help.

just take the top of the nuts and put them in a vice to squeaze them a little. makes them like new, unless you rounded the shoulders off, then get new ones!

It is serviceable but Toyota doesn’t sell the bearing. And it’s a 50/50 shot on how long it will last, from what I remember reading.

Garage addition going up! This will be more for storage but will be able to put a vehicle in if needed. 12 x 23

That’s gonna add some nice storage for sure.

Someone should start an over/under on how long it will be before a car gets parked in there.

Slab should be poured on Monday! If I am smart, I will store my 4Runner in there. It better be done before Fall Crawl.
