What are these? Appear to be brass. Along the head between intake manifold and the valve cover. While tinkering with this thing we’ve been wondering they were for.

We just need to hope AZ doesn't go the way of California and require the whole state to have emissions testing. Currently areas that require emissions go back to 1967. When my 68 was registered in Maricopa county emissions were required annually. Now the state has added a $32 public safety fee every time you register which is annually on old vehicles that require emissions. Which I guess would be around $60 a year or more. Before the public safety fee got away with five years for $60. Now have to add that fee but only once in five years.
