What are pro/con of 200 versus 100?

To fit 37's? Come on now................

The wheel wells in the 200 are smaller than the 100.

That Arctic Truck sure looks likes cutting plus body work, PLUS....I'm sure they bumpstopped the hell out of it. That defeats it's purpose as a wheeler. It might work in the Arctic, but not on the rocks.

The 200 will need a 6" lift minimum IMO. Where ya gonna get it?

More conjecture, supposition, theory, opinion. While you may very well be right, please post based on verified, empirical FACT, or else state it for what it is: conjecture, supposition, theory, opinion. After all, this is still a tech forum, last I checked.

Get a life. You prove me wrong with FACTS.

Slap 37's on a 100? The work involved is crazy enough, let alone the smaller-welled 200.

My life's great. I'm not the one with 6000+ posts who obviously spends a majority of his free time on this board...

And no, you're the one with the burden of proof, since you made the original comment. Prove that cutting is required, as you so emphatically say. Then I'll be happy to believe you. Until then, it's just conjecture, not FACT.

You say get a life, I say get a dictionary (and a primary education)...

Well, I do only have a year of college. I was born to sell though. Luv sales. Luv being able to work at home, play on MUD, buy nice things, win prizes (the 65" Sharp LCD TV was sweet!). Not bad for a dropout and one who can't expain why 37's take cutting. :D

Hey Shotts...

The '08 LC200 that was at SEMA last year had 35" wheels on it, with only 2.5" of lift in the front. I don't understand why it would be hard to fit 37" with a full 4-6" lift? That would put the wheel low enough that the 37" from end to end would be below the bottom of the wheel well (which measures 37").

I'm sure you would need to remove the mudflap, and I'd think there would be some cutting on Arctic Trucks set up, but if someone realy wanted to squish a 37" in there, it could be done.

By the way, enjoy your 65" TV, I hope you have a 40' room to veiw it in, otherwise it's a waste of space!

Anything can be done. Arctic got it done. I still think it's bump-stopped to hell killing it for trail use, but not for their use.

If someone comes out with a 6" kit I bet it would work though with compromise. (Like the 6" kit I have for the 80-series)

65-inch works great in the room now. I have a Diamond Line DLP Mitsubishi that's a year old. It'll hit eBay when I get the new one. I want the light output of the LCD technology for this room. For a 65" 16:9 set a good viewing distance would be about 15-feet. At 40' I'd want a 103" Panasonic plasma. Costs more than a 200 LC!

103" TV!?!? I've never even imagined that, never mind be able to fit it into my small humble abode. My wife and I just bought a 37" LCD (upgrade from our 27" tube - which still works great), and we love it. I think LCD is the way to go.

Do you have 37's on your 100 ? :hhmm:

I personally have no desire to go with meats that big on my 100. Or, if I get a 200 for that matter. Wouldn't be relevant to the type of off-roading I do anyway. I would think that 37's would put a mighty strain on any stock driveline components. Maybe if I lived in the Artic my tune would change ! Anyway, I have a POS RRC, what do I know ?!! ;)

You can barely get a 33" (on a stock 18" wheel) tire into the front without rubbing the front bumper and wheel well. The rear is not an issue. We will see if the ARB bumper yields more clearance. More lift is not going to help much. The tire still has to travel upwards.

No way. Not on the 80 either. Too much stress on birfs and other stuff....AND....these trucks just don't need 37's.

Panasonic Professional

Amazing display:

OK, I'll play!

Screen Research 110" 16:9 THX-Ultra2-certified acoustically transparent screen (all front speakers mounted behind the screen). :D

91-97 80 Series: 10.8" Minimum Ground clearance ;p (just to stir the pot)

98-2007 100 series: 9.8 Minimum Ground clearance
2008 200 Series: 8.9 Minimum Ground clearance

.9" difference between 100 and 200. Which is slightly more than the upgrade to "L" shocks gets you

But what that doesn't state is where that difference is. Could be the beefy rear axle that hangs the lowest and that the t-case actually sits higher. You'd need someone to actually measure where the lowest spot is.

Please rate these if you have experience. (I'll try to aviod the obvious question - Probably a mod 80 trumps all models with like shocks & mods - Let me know if i'm wrong though). I'm interested in heavy offroad driving (not rock climbing) how would they compare.

1. Improvement over stock on individual vehicle

2. Stock 80 vs mod 100 or mod 200

3: Stock 100 vs stock 200

If anyone has a mod 200 yet, I would like to hear your input on the improvement. Thanks
