Were soft tops ever factory made for the FJ45 pickups?

I know that this thread is focused on the cab, but there was a set of bows and canvas made for the rear of the SWB 45 pick-up. There is a picture of this set-up in a book called "Land Cruiser Gold Folio" or "Gold Portfolio" or something like that. If someone has this book(I have not seen mine in years), please locate and upload this pic. It may be a one-off set-up, as I think the vehicle was being used as a marketing rig. More likely (and as usual) this was destined for somewhere other than the US market.

looked through all three of my copies (old one before it was gold portfolio, but still published by brookstone, and two copies black cover with white late model 40 on cover and listed as gold portfolio), none of them showed a 45 pickup with a softtop.

Yes-I was referring to over the bed, but on a SWB truck with the 40-like drop down tailgate. The inside lip of the 45 SWB is very similar to the -J40 tub. In fact, if I am remember correctly, the width of this truck bed is the same as the 40 tub. It has been a while since I have put these bows up on anything, but they "fit" both the SWB 45 and the 40. The bows rest on the inside edge of the tub/bed with a large cast "eye". Imagine a a pipe "T" and you get the idea. Cant find my pictures......but these were sent to me a long time ago in the back of a 67 LWB 45 that I bought. They puzzled me as they did not fit the LWB bed-not even close. On a chance I put them in the back of my 40 and they fit perfectly. I went looking for some pics and found the one in the "Gold Portfolio" book. They came with a canvas as well, but it is completey shot.

In the "Gold Portfolio" book, the canvas over the bed has the "Toyota Land Cruiser' script on it. Look again when you get the chance.

i misunderstood, i was looking for an actual soft top rig, not a bed cover.

AFAIK not fj45 (pick-up) top in any market past like 62-63?

and the tops weren't a full top anyway it was a canvas back flap...special order...see pic
As far as I know, there were soft top 45s made like the one in the picture above. I have seen one here in Pakistan but could not have a closer look to confirm if it was OEM or locally manufactured.

If you can wait a couple of weeks until I get up north I should be able to find a picture of the half cab soft top from Kay Line (it was made for FJ40 not a FJ45 but looked like it could be made to work). It was sold years ago by Downey. To bad Kay Line is no longer around I would really like to have one myself.
