I sent them an email 6/2012 about this and received a response:

[FONT="]Unfortunately, due to the age of vehicle and due to lack of demand, we will not be producing the Digital Fit FloorLiners for anything older than 1998. Normally we do not see the Digital Fit FloorLiner product expand into the 1990's but due to the consistency of the Land Cruiser design, we were able to create the Liners for the 1998 to 2007 models. The only mats that I have to offer would be the All Weather Mats, as well as the custom fit Cargo Liner.[/FONT]

Yer lucky you got that, I sent them a letter stating how the 80's demographics are guys who drop cash on these things (we ain't patching Yugo's w/ duct tape by any means) - and told them the worldwide distribution of these, and made a few other points.
I never even got the form reply you got. Eff it, I'll find some Husky's or something of that nature (IDK they made lineers aside from the rear cargo one, but now I have a lead for that.
I guess Husky just likes money more than W-T. They'll get some of mine it sounds like.
Trying to keep this post alive! I can't believe Weathertech doesn't make digifit for the 80! Please log on to weathertech and request this product.

I'm in too i think they are made in detroit i will try and find someone who works there and find out what the #$%^& is going on.
They're just a cut sheet of material. There's no lip molded around the edge of them. They're custom fit in the same way that I could custom cut a sheet of rubber from the hardware store to fit.
When you log on to WT, please include some comments when requesting these for the 80 series.
I have also sent a lenghty email. Hopefully it'll tug on somebody's heart strings.
