Does anybody here have any knowledge or experience with this WARN Tabor 9k winch? A knockoff of warn but cheaper ??? why ???? It is formerly known as Magnum 9k.

my buddy just bought a bunch for his 4x4 shop, think he got the 10Ks and are selling em for $500
but no idea if its a good or not.

I don't know anything about the name, and I am certainly no expert, but the specs say this is a 4000 pound winch. 
OK they don't say it, but 559 amps at 4000# is not a 9000# winch.
