know nothing about the warn 12 hydo winches but i do know that the mile marker ones are awesome and im very mad at my self for getting a warn 12k electric and not the mile marker hydro:bang:

the hydros are stupid simple an equably reliable

I have an M12k electric but might have a good line on a new 12 series hydraulic... as thinking about a rear winch or maybe installing it on my 40...
My only concern is the same concern I have over PTO winches... the truck MUST be running. With electric at least you have the option to do a limited pull with the truck off.
If I can score this might you be interested in talking about a trade?

Hmmmm, hydro. I've been planning on running a hydro winch and have heard nothing but good things about the MM models. I haven't seen anyone with a warn one, but I can't expect the reviews to be negative.

How much can you score this one for?

the problem is you might get your self out but starting the truck probably is going to happen with a dead battery

with an electric winch you pulling power might be 12k at first but that quickly dwindles after a minute or so of winching once your amp draw goes up. With hydro that 12k pulling power is always there

what i hate about the electric winches is those stupid solenoid and relay boxes the M.O.S.F.E.T ones are nice tho

Landtank has a 12k Mile marker winch and was pulling bushes out at his house all day with his that just isint going to happen with an electric

Guy in my club had a MM hydro on his 40 and had nothing but problems with it. He threw plenty of money at it trying to get it to work, but in the end he went with tried and true - 12v. Hopefully Warn has figured something out.

Also, with Toyota's notoriously weak/leaky PS pumps, don't know that I'd be stressing that system any more.

Posted this for sale in the Classified section if anyone in interested.... I'm not in a position to make the switch from my electric M12k at this time...
