Year
1997
Vehicle Model
  1. 80 Series
Mileage
12345
I have scoured Craigslist, FB, and the classifieds here, with no luck.
I am interested in a FZJ80 or LX450. (triple locking not required)
I am based in the 919 zipcode.
Model years: 1995-1997

I am looking for a 80 series that has:
limited to no body rust and chassis rust. (A little surface rust in a few places, but no rot)

High mileage (220K and higher) (with documented headgasket replacement)
Or
Under 220k miles.

I would not be too concerned with a vehicle that needs mechanical work.

Strong preference to an unmodified / blank slate, or lightly modified vehicle

Please DM me or post here with what you have.
Strong preference for a local transaction in NC.
Thanks!

What’s the most you’re willing to spend?
I cannot afford what the low mile triple locked pristine builds have been going for recently :(

top of realistic budget is 12k (for the right cruiser).

Would prefer to buy a unbuilt 80 series for cheaper, and then be able to add some of the fun things to it myself :D

It can be done. I've seen some really nice low mileage Cruisers going for $12K and in excellent condition but those are getting harder to find.

My 1997 is up to 18K for my stupid/can’t resist to sell price. As soon as someone is willing, the price goes up to $23K.

@roflbox I wish you luck in your search. There are still a lot of great cruisers out there at a decent price, it just takes a lot of time and the willingness to move immediately. Read the FAQ for the 80 series and be willing to travel.

I'm working on getting ready to sell my 97 Lexus LX450 with great bones and lots of work done. I just don't have all the pics and details yet, but let me know if you're serious. See images and description below.
