I just removed the rear seat in my LX as I never ride anyone there anyway and was wondering if anybody has any pics they could share to give me ideas on how to build a shelf or compartment. I've seen a few pics here and there of cruisers with a raised platform and tire underneath. This is basically what I want to do as well.Anybody got any pics they could share????????? Thanks alot - Tim

    Tim,

Go do a search in the outfitting section. Several great threads on what you are after there. Mostly storage type units with pull out drawers, etc.

Here's some info from PismoJim's site:

As Brent said, there's some info in outfitting regarding drawers. Derek Lee (dclee on this site) built a very nice set and has some pics linked in one of the discussions.

Cruiserdrew had a set built for him by a guy somewhat local to us. I'm having a set built by him too. These are very nice and should be available for sale fairly soon.

Review this thread for general drawer discussion -- including pics of Cruiserdrew's drawer:

This link has info for Jeff -- the guy who's making drawers -- I'm getting some from him (I'm not sure if pricing info is current -- you might want to check with him):
