This truck is the only thing that survived the flood and so I think it deserves to be fixed to run as it did before. Out of the house and 3 vehicles that we own this was the one that made it through, so I feel this is one special truck. Damn these things really are indestructible!

Just an update. I finally figured this out a few months ago. The wheel bearings were bad. Apparently they had never been changed before and the water took them out of commission. Replaced both front bearings and all is fine now.

staccato hollow plastic only when turning could be those shields in the wheel wells. Mine was for that noise.
