Youre all gonna think that Im nutz, but Walmart has a fuel injection service for 20 bucks...
I thought Id give it a try cuz my rig BOGS whenever I hit an incline, and no matter how much skinny I give it, its still like whipping a dead horse....
So I take the blotch rig down there, and Ill be GWAD DAMNED if it DIDNT make a NOTICEABLE difference...Ill even go so far as to say that it was actually pleasant to drive on the road, and Ive NEVER said that!

FWIW...

Flame away!

Did they say what they did?

maybe they dumped some caustic crap in the tank or just hooked the fuel line up to some sort of container. I doubt they would remove them for 20 bucks.

Wal-Mart Tire & Lube Express - Increase Fuel Economy for Summer Driving Season

Fuel System Efficiency

Efficient fuel systems are key to vehicle power and performance and, as part of Wal-Mart's continued commitment to assisting its customers with improved fuel economy, Tire & Lube Express introduces its new Fuel Injection Service for only $19.88. This two-step service, which features a liquid intake cleaner and a fuel system cleaner, takes only 15 - 20 minutes to complete.

Can't hurt.

You shop at Wal-Mart!?!?!?!

(It's my wife's favorite store, actually :hillbilly:) Think it will work on my 2F? :flipoff2:

I have had the same results, the system they use and tank additive works better than the oil lube places. But you are dead on right it does work and you can tell an immediate difference.

Wal-Mart Watch My college girlfriend thought that by working for the biggest company in the USA she could get some health insurance. All she got was effed over six ways to sunday like everyone else who works there. She quit and got a job as a barista working for a woman with five employees and one location in order to get health insurance.

Support the little/local guy. The extra money you spend will come back to you

Not too bad...
I thought Id have been flamed off of this board for that post.
They hooked some thing up in the engine bay somewhere, and left the rig idle for a while with it running, and when it was done, it was a drive I hadnt experienced EVER in my cruiser. I actaully had power to make it up a grade...
I just thought that Id share the experience in case anyone else might be interested.

Yes...I DO shop at walmart. The cost of living isnt going down, nor do I have the financial luxury to pay MORE because its morally right to do so. Until that happens, Im going to have to look for the best deals where I can find em.

I understand that desperate times call for desperate measures. For instance instead of buying an uber expensive rear bumper, you fabricated a kick-ass one for yourself (which I am totally going to copy :) ) But we all need to keep in mind why things are the way they are.

I hear ya!
The current state of things is really crappy to say the least. This may be TMI, but my clothes are ratty, Ive got holes in my undies and socks, and Ive all but given up ANY other hobbies I enjoy because Id rather set aside some FREE cash for working on and and wheeling my cruiser.
If it came down to quality over price for the cruiser and being stranded in the middle of nowhere...Id spend the extra and get home.
The cost of things are PRECISELY the reason I try to do as much on my rig myself as possible. That, and I wouldnt know what to do with my free time otherwise.

will it work on a 2f?

I've had positive results from a product called "seafoam". comes in an old-school can at napa stores and the like.

will it work on a 2f?

Yeah, they guy that did the treatment on my rig said that he tried it on his carbed vehicle and it did nothing...

What kind of wal-mart offers this service? All of them

Not sure...
Call your local store and find out if they offer it.
I wander through the auto dept quite a bit and happened to notice a sign advertising it. Otherwise Id have never know about it.
