Hey guy's looking for a little info as what to do for the brake light switch to activate torque converter, cruise control and obviously brake lights. I've used the complete wire harness from the 98 GMC donor truck and the brake light switch has 6 wires. 2 normally open and 1 normally closed circuits. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Dave:beer:

You've got me pretty much stumped on this question, however Painless Wiring has a section of their install manuals that deals with this subject. Don't know how cooperative they will be when not using one of their harnesses, but perhaps you could find some soul who had used their harness and still has his install manual laying around?????

I think I need to find a link to the GM brake switch wiring schematic and possibly use 2 universal switches at the brake pedal to simulate the GM factory switch.
Downey, I'll look into the Painless wiring for more info. Thanks:beer:

Howdy! Not trying to be smart about it, but spend $20 on a shop manual for the doner rig so you have ALL the wiring diagrams. I had to do than when I did my conversion, many years ago. John

I have a shop manual and I know how the switch works but it's impossible to mount to the Toyota brake pedal assembly. I need to know what others have done to remedy this.

Howdy! Ok, I'm thinking the OEM switch on the rig has 4 terminals. Gang mount the like polarity wires on one side of the switch, and isolate the odball set to the other side? John

 why did'nt think of that. Great idea. Thanks inkpot.

Or use the stock switch to run a couple relays to get the contacts you need to feed the computer the info it wants. The stock switch doesn't get overloaded that way too.

Nick
