Hello guys, just to give you some ideas where to put a digital voltmeter. In the clock space.

I got a voltmeter and regulator and use the tablet and the led, a plasticglass and some glue, weld the + to the ignition so it will turn on only when turn your switch in acc and the - to ground.

Here how it looks.

Where do you locate your digital clock then?

A true outdoors man can look at the shadows around him and tell the time. Real me don't need clocks but obviously need volt meters.:)

JChangFJ70, where did you source the voltage meter? Size?
Curious if anyone has used that spare spot under the vent - just to the right of the glow plug & filter lights. Not even sure why that blank plug is there. It looks like an ideal spot for a small meter.

I guess if Mick Dundee doesn't need a clock no one does

I know, I was just messing with you. Mick was that short crocodile poacher with the funny accent that married that good looking blond
lady from N.Y.:)

You are a real joker!

I used to own a LJ78 which requires a sense of humor and a high credit limit for unexpected maintenance.:)

Hello guys, my 70 it was a work series that get to Panama, air condition and radio fm/AM. The dash board it has not a voltmeter, so Iook on marckhc his voltmeter and got the idea, i dont have a clock on that space.

Tomorow I will be on a trail, so no time to upload some pics of what I did on the back.

Regards

Why do you need an extra V meter where you are having one on the cluster?

To better monitor battery voltage and battery state of charge when running auxiliary equipment, such as an fridge or when truck sitting for long periods. For example a 12 volt battery at 12.2 volts is at 50% charge, but measuring state of charge from voltage is an approximation and should be temperature corrected

I installed a digital voltage readout, but it reads significantly lower than my handheld meter - so that might have been a waste of time. If you install one - make sure its accurate.

In the winter I use it when I'm plugging my glow plugs. I can tell by the voltage drop that my glow plugs are working correctly.
