Were there any draw backs to the arms that toolrus made? If I recall there may have been some diving under braking but other than that I think they would be a great solution. They would be a good trade off for flex and balance. Maybe Slee or others could chime in on this.

He had dive in braking, and thought that it was still lacking in side-to-side flex balance. Tool's arm is sweet, and I would love to have it as I'm sure it's cheaper than the $700+ship for the X-link, but I think the X will be a better choice still. A wristed arm would be my 100% choice, and I wish I could get my hands on a LR wristed arm to check out if it would fit.

You are missing somthing if you knew any thing about building coil spring suspensions you would know that There is a spring keeper on the bottom of the spring and a spring follower at the top. And can insure you this rig will go any were you want to go. By the way this is my 17 year old daughters rig she drives and wheels.
