hi guys , mine vacuum canister was rust and full of hole .. so I by passed it and then I cut off it ....

My brake are good also without the canister ....off course when you shut off the engine the vacuum stop immediately

so in my opinion every canister will do !!

only my experience.

ciao

Got a message to post some info on the stainless vacuum tanks. I have been making them for a few years and the thread is here --> see page 2 of this link for some more tank development --> 40 series misc metal fabrication

Yes, any reservoir will do but mine is a direct replacement for a part that is no longer available from Toyota. Some guys prefer to stay stock, others make a reservoir from PVC pipe and still others use tube sliders as a reservoir.

yes , run stock is Always good , i know :steer:

i wrote only to say that one can go without in Emergency situation

ps EXCELLENT WORK yours tanks !!!!

I have a friend who made one out of an old smaller fire extinguisher and some fittings from Home Depot. This was several years ago so I dont have any details regarding it, but it worked well.

Picture shows the quality. Need to know how to order one. I' m rebuilding a BJ45 and made already a lot of parts myself. This is the second BJ 45 i' m rebuilding.

Hey.....I need one of these. You still have any?
@TurboScott - I see you are a bit new here, if you want his attention you need to address him directly
@Awl_TEQ Do you have any of the vacuum canisters currently?

I have a question which is why I was reading this, - Does size matter to a vacuum canister? Do to area constraints
I installed a smaller canister that does seem to work on my LHD 60 just below the clutch master but there seems to
be a view here that larger is better. Is this just for reserve? I have the vacuum pump on my alternator, wondering if
anyone has ever put a gauge on that line to the canister??
