Good afternoon Ladies and gentlemen, wanted to ask if anybody's used a advics master cylinder part number BMT 046. I would like to use this on a '93-94 FZJ80. I know the correct part number is BMT 068, I was just wondering if I could get away with using the BMT 046 and switching over the connection on the body side to match to the BMT 068.

Why do you want to know why?
OK.
I'll bite.
The why is to give a proper response.

My question then is, what's the bore difference between the two?
If its the same, you gain nothing other then reworking linkage and possibly lines. If their diffrent you effect travel and force.

That P/N is a stock replacement for a 95-97 80 series. What am I missing here? What advantage would it have over your existing m.c.?

Wow so much negativity, I asked if anybody has attempted to use the newer style Master cylinder. To the best of my knowledge The body seems to same, the only difference is the container, one has the electrical portion on the cap and the other one has it on the container itself. I'm going to attempt one and will be posting the results. Have a good day all you haters, find something positive to do in your life.

🤣 Not trying to be negative amigo, just trying to understand if there’s some advantage to the 95-97 m.c. That I don’t know about.

What you are missing is, I asked a QUESTION!!
Maybe you should go back to the beginning and read my first post!
You asked if anyone had tried it. Since no one said, "yes" or at least, "there's a thread about that if you search", then the answer is probably "no".

Since none of us can confirm for you that it's possible, asking why you would want to seems like a reasonable question to me. I'm not sure why that offends you.

So far less than 10 people have responded, why are you so sure that nobody can answer the question. Everything's going to bolt up, even the pipes. It's just one connector that needs to be modified. People modify load sensing valve all the time, this is a simple connecter modification. If you have no clue or if you have not done it, move on to the next post.

Wow, you’ve set one hell of a tone in your 16 posts. Good luck getting any input with that attitude.

I used hand-me-down aisin bmt 046 from the lx450 on '83 toyoder pu - just spliced '83 reservoir plug onto hand-me-down bmt 046 to fit '83 harness.
the lx got new bmt 046 and the '83 got the used bmt 046 which works great w the four-wheel disc brakes
match up connectors and should be fine
