I received some misc. parts from a friend and one of them was a solenoid. I was going to install it on a tractor but during my testing found out that is wasn't just a regular solenoid. If you pulse the activation contacts the solenoid opens/closes and stays that way. It latches On with one pulse and OFF with the next. You can remove power and it stays in whatever state it's in. Not a good starter solenoid but good for other things. It will carry 110 Amps. I can see this as a good inline for anti-theft or battery isolation on a 2 battery system. With this inline with the battery you could have a semi hidden push button power on, power off of the rig. Also it looks like a regular solenoid so it really doesn't look out of place.
It is a Cole Hersee PN# 24200. A little expensive but I found some cheaper on web searches.
