Hello,
Looking around for an LC200 in my area. Came across a 2017 with 118k, decent service records but no mention of coolant flush or change, should this be a concern? Carfax here:

Any other things to look out for?
Well they say its "lifetime" coolant....

Not really though. I wouldn't be too concerned about it and if everything else was good, I'd just replace the coolant after purchase as part of bse lining or get the Dealer to do (if being sold by a dealer) before purchase. Are there records of diff, transfer, tranny fluid changes? You are right there if the tranny hasn't been done.

No sign of diff, transfer, tranny fluid changes, which may be another sign of concern? It's been on their lot for awhile so it seems like they may be willing to do those things if asked.

I looked underneath it and the skids aren't too banged up, it does have sliders which makes me think the most recent owner did take it off-road here in CO.

Would another reason for being on lot for a lengthy time be due to mods? Are people generally wanting non-modified versions so they know mods are done correctly on their own watch?

Create an account on toyota's owners website and plug its' VIN in to verify the service history. If the tranny and coolant have been changed at a toyota dealer it should be listed. These services sometimes don't populate on a carfax.

Thanks for all this info, I brought this up to the sales person at the dealer and he said, "the mechanics looked at it and it was nothing concerning was seen". Which to me is them saying they don't want to pay themselves to do it.
Does anyone have the service interval mileage numbers for reference?

I ran the VIN and didn't see much of any services being done at toyota. Oil change, brakes, mirror repair. I'd keep looking for something with better service history.

I tried doing the same process for another one but Toyota website didn't show anything, am I doing something wrong? Should I be using the Toyota website, logging in as an owner and then adding the VIN? Trying to look up this VIN, JTMCY7AJ8H4051949.
Thanks for the help.

After logging in and inputting the VIN go to the vehicle's dashboard and you'll be able to select the service history.

How does it drive? Any abnormal noises or vibrations?
What lift and shocks are on it? Is it a lift you'd be happy with?
Original radiator so you know it wasn't ruptured and engine overheated, just put it on the list of things to do.
It's extremely clean and not much interior wear for 118k miles so it's been well taken care of, the interior at least.
The brake fluid is still relatively clear so that might have been serviced.
HE rims aren't cheap so if you like those, there's a bit of added value as well.

Overall, the price is fair. Coolant, differentials, and transmission will be fine at 120k if they haven't been beat too much. I realize that's an unknown but the PO obviously didn't trash it. Factor in some tasteful quality modifications and it's decent deal given it's close to you and you can drive it without having to travel. There's some added value with the convenience of location. I'm in the northeast and have to travel for every car I buy so I'd pay extra for something that checked all my boxes and was less than an hour away.

Remote reservoir shocks?

I had messaged them a bit on this one but ended up passing as they wouldn’t move from the 52k price at that time. It’s now at 51k and still there so I bet you could try to work a deal. From what I recall, if has Icon front struts. I don’t remember if it has aftermarket UCAs. I asked when the suspension was installed and they didn’t know so another consideration is the rebuild cost of those. Not a major job, just another thing for the list like the radiator. Good luck!!

Can someone expand on the radiator some more. Is it standard to just replace these at a certain mileage? Or is there a known issue people are trying to avoid?

Nice looking truck. 3 previous owners! Doesn't look like it would have been neglected too terribly based on the wheels/rack/suspension work, but could be misleading. Somebody clearly sunk some coin into it.

If you are serious, get a PRE PURCHASE inspection done by a qualified mechanic. May cost you $150, but well worth the peace of mind.

Pre 18's like to usually start leaking at the "tag"/"badge"/"label" on the top of the rad. This one shows no signs of leaks so I wouldn't be worried. Put it in the back of your head for a rad eventually.
I usually don't like buying modified vehicles, but this one looks tastefully well done. The HE wheels alone are worth a good buck. See what suspension is on it.
Seems priced pretty damn fair to me.

Took a look at it today. Overall inside is in pretty good shape. One large scratch on the back pillar on outside. Noticed on both front wheels this fluid. Icon suspension confirmed. Probably will pass. For fun I also drive a hybrid 4Runner, those things are quick!
