The dealer I acquired my lx from replaced all 4 shocks and accumulators on my truck before I bought it. The is absolutely nothing wrong with my AHC, it works like it should, but I would like to replace it with a conventional suspension system with a moderate lift. What is the going rate for selling an AHC system and is there any market out there for it? Could I cover most of the cost of buying a complete suspension kit by selling my AHC system?

If you piece it out and take your time selling it, probably, but who knows how long that'd take. I saw another member list out each component for 20 bucks a component plus shipping, I think you could net $400ish like that and it would sell fast. If you decide to do that, I'd take the entire system off you, for spare parts. Mine is working fine and I want to keep it as long as possible.

thats sort of what I figured, but at that price Ill have to wait until it fails before I can replace it.

Let me know if you decide to go that route. You could set aside funds to supplement what you'll get for it to get you there a bit sooner. If the system was refreshed before you bought it, it's probably going to last you.

I decided to try the AHC lift spacers and King springs, so about $400 bucks in parts, my time and labor and I have the lift I wanted and the functionality of the AHC system. You might try that, I've been happy with it thus far.

You don't say 'when' you got the vehicle, so we don't know how old the parts, only that they were supposedly replaced before you bought it.

IF you have documentation that the shocks and globes were replaced (with OEM) and they are not very old then they are worth substantially more than what is being suggested here.

Yeah, I didn't think about that. Everything was replaced in the last 6 months

As previously stated IF you have documentation and IF they are OEM shocks and globes then they should be worth decent money.

A full set of Toyota Globes (front and rear, four total) would have a 'new' retail price of a bit over $1000.00. Shocks (all four) would come in at around $800.00 (new retail).

I don't know what the market is for 'USED' parts, but I know it isn't $20.00 per component (IF in the condition you stated).

I don't think there is much call for the shocks....since they hold up pretty well and are not in high demand, but the Globes ARE a wanted item.

You will not get a better ride than AHC unless you are willing to drop HUGE HUGE coin. The system is designed very well and can handle just about everything you want to put on it.

I love it in our LX and if I was buying a rig I would only buy AHC rigs from here out. So easy to lift and get in spec. @PADDO here on boards is a AHC god.

Spend money elsewhere if it has been all replaced that soon ago.
