Glad to know I'm not the only one who refuses to drink the Cool-Aid.

It's sad to see that Android vs iOS is going down the same religious wars as Mac vs. PC (or Amiga vs. everything.). They're just hunks of silicon and software. I have an iPhone and a iPad, but I also have a Windows Phone, Nexus 7, HP Touchpad, Google Chromebook, etc.... They are all good systems, and very functional.

Religion has nothing to do with it. I will not purchase an apple product. I install and support them for all my clients. I've been doing that since the mid 90s and OS6. I choose where I spend my money.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who refuses to drink the Cool-Aid. FoxFi is a free download, but all the available roms out there have wifi tethering built in. I've used several of the JB roms and KitKat roms, and have yet to find one that doesn't have it. I have an old VZW Galaxy Nexus that I just love. Can't see the need to upgrade with all the support this device gets.

Isn't the Android The #1 sold OS? Wouldn't that mean you drank the kool aid?

I guess it would depend on your interpretation of the phrase "drinking the CoolAid."
It refers to the Jonestown massacre where people blindly followed a leader to the death without thought or cognition. While that is certainly extreme, it does seem to reflect the majority of "MacNuggets". Of course this is only my opinion based on my own personal experiences. I have been in the IT world before the term "IT" was coined and when a 10MB hard drive was considered huge.

My personal distaste for Apple runs very deep and is spread out over many years and many situations, both on the consumer side and enterprise side. People use what they use in order to be productive and make money. I have no problem with that and I really don't really care what devices or OS or hardware you use. However my money will never be willfully given to that company.
