I would like to convert my hubs to toyota 6 lug wheel pattern. Anyone know what the axle weight rating is? I am assuming that the weight rating would likely dictate the OD of the spindle for me to match the new hub to? Any guidance would be great. @LandCruiserPhil, I think you have installed different wheels/tires on yours, and @Rudster, you are running toyota 6 lug wheels. Any ideas?
No idea as the trailer came with...sorry I couldnot be of much help but do a search on expedition portal and you may find some infoI would like to convert my hubs to toyota 6 lug wheel pattern. What Phil said. Easy swap and you could put a plain set of gray rims on like Alvis has on the 60. Then everything is 16 inch and possibly swappable.
I thought about buying a set of 40 rims and rear hub caps but what is there works and I use a doughnut spare from a Lincoln stuffed inside the trailer. So easy, can't convince myself to move away from this.

Thanks for the feedback. I can't find the correct hub that fits the spindle. It seems the larger lug patterns are reserved for heavier rated axles that have a larger diameter spindle. I am sure the answer is out there, but I am not finding it. I found a Dexter Torsen parts supplier, but the 6 on 5.5" lug pattern starts on a 5k lbs axle hub with much thicker spindle.
That said, I want this for consolidation of spares. My trailer doesn't have one and it has Heep wheels on it that need to go.![]()
I'm sure someone makes an adapter to the 6 on 5.5 pattern

I am thinking #6.
I do carry a save a spare but I dont think a flat is any concern because of the trailer weight. I run 5psi offroad and the tire looks the same full or empty. A friend of mine has logged 30k+ on his Venturcraft without any tire issue under some hard conditions.
I am thinking #6.
Save a spare? I am thinking that I would not worry about a trailer spare if my truck spare could be used if needed. I can only assume the trailer would only get a flat if a tire was defective and separate. There isn't enough weight in the trailer to create a puncture on most any objects.
I have considered the adapter route, I will have to do some measuring to see what the adapter plus desired wheels look like. I'd like to keep things as tucked in as possible.
I'm planning to convert mine to 6 x 5.5. I picked up a pair of Dexter 3500lbs hubs from Straight Line suspension in Mesa. They fit fine. I highly recommend this place for any trailer parts or questions. Mike was great to work with.
I want to install the same 5 spoke Tundra wheels and tires (255 80 r17 BFG KM2) as my truck so I'm sourcing the studs now. It's been quite the task to figure this all out.
I'm picking up the studs this AM at Vatozone. I rough fit the combo last night after removing the original hub and the fit looks good, maybe a little close to the frame on the inside. I may have to have a 1/2 to 1" spacer machined (and longer studs) to get the wheel centered perfectly in the fender but I won't know until it all goes back together later today. Clearance from the top of the tire to the fender looks good. I would not expect any rubbing.
I did buy the wheel spacer/converter mentioned before but pushing the wheel out by 2" put it out to nearly rubbing on the outer fender verticle lip so I'm trying the hub conversion route now. If the hub trick does not work I'll go back to the OEM hubs and spacer and then I'll modify the fender to get the right fit.
Rudster - question for you, can you tell if your Trailblazer axle is OEM or has it been modified at all to accommodate the heavier rims/tires by the previous owner?
