URE: Tuesday, Aug 4th.

An outing for the self-employed, unemployed, or soon to be unemployed and you just don't give a phark.

Plan is to get in as many trails as possible but concentrate on the "D" trails.

Meet at Outpost 9:00 to help beat the heat. Bring lunch and lots of fluids.

All rigs and capabilities welcome. Drive the easy trails and ride the others if you like. Please confirm below if you plan to attend.

Have the jack. Can't help with the tire. Suggest stopping by your local John Deere dealer for that. :) (Anyone have a spare 40" sitting around?)

I'm inexperienced, riding a 'way too tall' truck.. And you've shown me videos of what can happen on Daniel when people try too hard...I'll be taking it somewhat easy. Don't wanna roll it.

Just dont like that idea of running on tiny 37s. Haha

So leaning into a tree is acceptible? :D

There's one with your name on it on Daniel.

I won't lie. I'm nervous about Daniel. That first ledge has rollover written all over it.

The tree is a much bigger challenge for you. Ledge should be fine if dry. Maybe ;)

I see. Is it the width or the height that's the issue?

One tree you have to "slip" past while the trail leans you into it. The taller the rig, the more you lean into the tree.

We plan to take a "before/after" pic of your rain gutter.

No worries.

Driver side so you can admire it each day

I'm wondering if there's some way to avoid damage? Perhaps duct taping a pool noodle to the rain gutter? is it a dent that I'm going to get, or a scratch... IE: will a pool noodle help (scratch) or is it futile (dent)...

37's and 4" springs :p

Ok ok but seriously no noodle will help. Coolest mod I saw a whole back was some 1.25" Dom cut and welded to roof gutters as a slider.

But for now I say slow driving. Fold your mirror in. Keep your hands inside and Listen to your spotters and take it slow. The safe line is counter intuitive.....closer to the tree is safer. Further away leans you more toward it.

It's a scratch unless you can put your head in it ....

That second paragraph is important.

Most of all, relax and have some fun. Be able to say to yourself a scratch or two is okay BEFORE Tuesday.

Good point... I need to learn to not give a s*** about the paint. Funny thing is, when I went to see it, I assumed it would be oxidized and scratched up. I was almost disappointed to see it was so well kept. Almost....
