I am going to URE this weekend if anyone else is interested. Staying at Arrowhead CG # 36 Friday - Sunday. No Bears. The rain they just got should make the trails more interesting.

a big maybe but ill stay in touch......might post over on ONSC side as well.

I'd much rather be a URE than the wedding I have to go

have fun and take some good pics!!!!!!

There will be plenty of cameras at that wedding too. I say, blow it off and tell everyone you were there they just missed you.

Go wheeling instead...no tie required.

Somehow I missed this yesterday.
I'm on it.
Too late to leave tonight, I'll head up in the morning.

That place is so dry right now rain on Wed. is long gone. It does look like the system that just went through here is also making a pass through there so hopefully it will help to keep the crazy dust at bay.

I was there a week ago, wish I could make it this weekend but no such luck...

Might have gotten a sprinkle. My radar looks like the storms straddled URE. I'm going anyway, close the windows, put on the air and the jammer, cruise.

That's one of the benefits of a more modern ride. Should be fine tomorrow until late in the day as a worst case.

This whole area could use days of soaking rain before Uwharrie would be a mess. A few mud holes yes. Eradicating the dust bin of late summer? Never...

Have fun, take pics!

For you two FJC guys, here's the one from last weekend:

A few pics from the weekend

Well it was a small group of three. BillWright, myself and a friend from a local club.
Here are a few photos. The weather was perfect but the tree going down Daniel was NOT.

Now if I can only figure out how to upload more pictures?

We never stopped for traffic. An occasional single or double stopped for us. And of course the ubiquitous 4wheelers and bikes.
This was strange because the Outpost at 9AM was full of big rigs. I'm thinking they were all together and maybe went up Daniel then settled at Kodak.
We came the other way; Falls Dam/Dickey Bell, btm of Rocky Mtn then down Daniel, then back over to Slab Pile, Wolf Den and Dutch John and out. We had picked up a foreign rookie in a new stock 4dr jeep about to come up Daniel (we convinced him to turn around and go with us :) ) so we took it easier the second half of the day. He got his money's worth on Slab Pile and bailed at Wolf Den.
But there were very very few trucks on the trails we rode. Which also meant not very dusty.

Arrowhead otoh was filled, but it looked like a lot of them were boaters and AARP RVers.

Nice pics guys, hate i couldnt make it down there to meet you! concrete, fj40z and i are heading down this weekend though. That tree is a b*tch; got me too and the line has changed over this season to sneak by it (got to go wide now). Of course down has gravity workin against you too.

that dog does look like he wants to be in the cruiser behind him ;)

How does one post more than three pictures at a time? I must be missing something.

Thanks
