Anyone have any upgraded Keyfob cases they like?

One of mine came cracked/broke and I spent a ton of $ on the YotaMD one and it kinda sucks and requires often fiddling (yes, I’ve taken it apart and checked everything multiple times) to get it to work and the range was cut down a bunch.

Any suggestions of other options?

Would be nice if there was a retrofit for the later MY OEM LC keys to 08-15s.

There's a guy selling upgraded clamshells. I thought his name was yodamd...but I can't find his @ handle when trying to link him.

website above. apparently there's a BF sale right now. So good timing if you're in the market.

Yes. As mentioned, I paid $75 for one of their “Titanium” ones and it sucks.

They aren’t getting any more of my $

Gotcha and understood. I missed that on your post....clearly struggling with comprehension this AM.

Here's another option.

$14 + shipping on Aliexpress. 😂. Came with a blank key blade that I had Ace Hardware cut for me. They cut it well enough to turn one way but not the other. It’s still a functional back-up/glove box option.

The dealer can cut key blanks to the original configuration from your VIN if you go to them with proof of ownership. Since they aren’t copying an existing key it is really accurate. I think I paid $20 the last time I had it done.

I have the key and the fob guys, it’s just the shell that’s broke to hell. I may or may not have stepped on it in garage

Interesting. I have the YotaMD fob case, got in on the intro deal so it's been in use for several years. I love it, works great. I change the battery every year, the tiny screws are a bit fiddly, but otherwise I'm happy. :meh:

3D print it yourself is also an option. Made it out of PLA-CF and since more than a year it does its job flawlessly

Check out Meso Customs. They used to have the fobs listed by model, but that looks to have changed. The older Tundra model key fobs were perfect fit for a 2016 LC key fob. They look pretty similar but I’d have to measure to be sure.

Do you have a .STL file for this? I just picked up a Bambu A1, I'll give it a try.
Sorry for the late reply. Here is a folder with the SolidWorks data and step files (you can import step as well in Bambu Studio or other slicers - with btw better quality than stl) LC200_key_shell - Google Drive - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1dCoDFW8aq_DmxT6NoOBojDgpVryL7Y0C?usp=sharing
The screws I used ared M2.5 x 6mm and if you got the AMS for your Bambu I would recommend using some support material (like petg for pla and the other way around) to remove the supports with more ease.

I’ve beat up my two orange fobs from YOTAmd since they were first released and they served me well, including through the washing machine several time. Zero impact on transmission range… 🤷🏻‍♂️

Point was pretty simple…
One bad report is just that:
ONE,,,bad report. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Theres a few with identical issue to me that i have read. Not a ton, but at least 2 others
