Yep you guessed it, I'm in it now too. Got layed off last Wednesday, which I new was comin as our building was being shut down in the next 12 months so they could ship all the manufacturing to Mexico. I was hopin that since my department wasn't goin til later this year that I could survive but I had the least amount of seniority which equals the smallest severance package so I got it along with 4 others from our 22 person group. There is a slight chance I could get asked back sub-contract to aid in the transition of my department but I would so love to tell them F-NO!

I have a few leads on potential jobs but potential doesn't pay the bills. Fortunately Cristina allows us to maintain a simple lifestyle so it doesn't cost much for us to survive. This will hamper our vacation plans this year at this point however.

I've got my business running, the license is in transit,
a website; 4wdhqs Home a logo and enough work to keep me busy full time through the middle of April.

Hope you all are doing well.

Sorry to hear that!! Hope you find something soon.

The corporate tax structure needs to be modified so it stops running our bsuinesses out of the country. A viscous cycle: As more companies move operations out of the U.S., the less companies to take taxes from. So what happens? The remaining ones get taxed more to make up for it.

Good luck my friend - hope you land something soon!

But you know....all these business owners have sooo much money....they should just pay their "FARE SHARE" :censor::censor::mad: So is the fare share, everyone's share???:ban:

Again.. Sorry to hear that SY. You do great work. Let me know if you need a hand or a referance.

Sorry to hear that. PM Sent...

Welcome to the club...I'm about to stand on the corner with my "will design for food" sign. Sad thing is that in all probability a job offer will mean leaving AZ. :crybaby:

No credit to businesses= no development = no design jobs = no construction jobs. :bang:

Maybe I can go to China, Hmmm wonder if I can start the Forbidden Kingdom Land Cruiser Club. would be a slick t-shirt...80 driving along the Great Wall with Chinese lettering behind...Sweet. Now that would be an expedition!

Would that entail wearing Chinese knock-off North Face gear?

Of course...but only if I can get knock off safari hats as well. Though I could picture some of those "expedition" pieces being a little more needed than on the Apache Trail ;-)

Bummer dude. I got laid off in October, just shortly after the ceo and other big dogs took 1/2 million dollar bonuses and 14% pay raises. :meh:

Good luck!

That's not going to leave you many options!

Luv me some NAFTA!

Thanks for the words guys, I'm not gonna bash the company or expect to boycott them cos it's already done and most of us can't get on a plane without using their products.

I am however requesting any kind of wheeler work you might need done. I realize most do your own stuff and thats great I am just offering services to those that might need it or want it.

Thanks again.
