Thanks Slick. Im EST and just woke up and I'm wide awake ready to start cutting steel for this bumper system!!!! My wife will kill me though if I go to cutting at 3:30am... some people just dont get it. Lots of construction pics today guys stay tuned and prepare to get your skirt blown up...

How do you feel about the AC condenser being exposed like that, assuming the other side will be symmetrical to your mock-up piece?

I think it looks badass. But I share duggy's concern for certain front bits. Would there be an integrated skid plate, or perhaps an add on skid plate for protection?

It comes out pretty far past the fender flare and is a hard corner. I don't know about anyone else, but i think it should be a little more round unless you intend on incorporating a slider/rail on there. Just my 2 cents.

I think the dimensional idea is cool but why keep the flat top? Actually that is a beef I have with all but Slee's front bumper! He's the only one who got rid of the flat top! And you still can add a grill guard to it if wanted!

There needs to be space for the bull bars. The bumper only sticks past the fender 1" and the corner is only out about 3".. not much really. The camera always seems distort what your trying to show.

Ya I hear ya... this is enough welding and work lol do you see all the welds what did I do??? Lots of beads but wait till I blend it all on the outside and you see the beads I'm laying inside. Best I've done thus far. More pics coming.

Looks good, but that's going to be a ton of welding work. Have you thought of getting it modeled and then bent? Would save you a TON of time to have pre-bent pieces.

This bumper is one off I've decided.. I'm not making it again unless someone really wants it $$$
I'll be doing another following this one and it will be a little more simpler but based off of this one.. if that makes sense. Post pics tomorrow of the center section.

That is a ton of work.... I can definitely appreciate the work involved in custom prototyping. Done plenty of that type of fabrication work myself.

My only critique is the way that the outer corners are being brought up to such a thin vertical dimension. The center of the bumper needs SO much coverage that your lower upswept angle seems really exaggerated on the design.... And it makes the bumper look a bit too "thick" aesthetically from the front view. If the outer corners were a bit taller that angle underneath would be less severe, and might have a more pleasing overall proportion.

Hard to know exactly what I'd do myself... But I'm definitely a "template guy" too. There's nothing like a big pile of foam core board, a plentiful assortment of sharp X-acto knife blades and some blue painters tape to really put ideas into a real life 3D perspective.

Looks to be a strong design with high clearance for some serious rock crawling. I'm liking the look after checking the last video. I tend not to bloviate or find fault till I start investing in a project for what thats worth.
