Ok guys I have a conundrum and I need to you, the customers, decide this because you have all stuck with me through the pain of getting the Locking Lids done.
I'm here at the powder coater's now and they have evaluated the cost to mask, because of the laser etching, and re-powder and the cost to me is nearly double what I paid to originally have them powder coated. We did a quick paint touch up instead on one of them and it looks ok but it's not powder coat for this little section.
The advantage, if there is one, is that the spot that needs to be touched up is UNDER the lid so it's only seen when the lid is open and only on one small spot.
If you guys think it's ok to touch up with paint then I'll go ahead and do that and get these shipped. If you guys prefer powder then I will do that as well. I'm just trying to slow the bleeding but keep things transparent.

I haven't purchased one yet but will be. I'm totally cool with paint. No need for the powder coat. I want you to make a little money (or at least not lose money) so that you will continue to provide completely over engineered products that I never knew I needed.

Once I order this one, that solution would be fine by me too.
I ordered a mount today and may order the locking lid and pouch in the future.
Little paint spot on underside of lid would not bother me at all.
Incidentally, my black powder coated Tuffy Console came with a few rust spots in hidden places brand new out of the box. Don't sweat it.

I agree with the others. Little paint is fine as long as doesn't rust. Not a problem at all.
I'm ok with paint. Once you find a better match give us the specs so we can do future touch ups.
I'm ok with paint but need it in pink so I can see the bottom of the lid better at night
I just received my fire extinguisher mount and chair "lift" and looking forward to getting everything installed. Always have an extinguisher but its usually stuck in the back in an inconvenient spot for an emergency!

just ordered my extinguisher mount plus some extras for Christmas!I didn't order a lid yet but...if I had, I would not have cared about the minor "spot" on the inside. Can't wait to get my goods!
