What type of windshield fluid do you use? We moved to UT from DC last winter, and our wiper fluid always froze on the windshield! I just used the cheapy low-temp stuff from sprawl-mart, which always worked fine back East. Any suggestions for some good fluid that won't freeze out here?

something with rain-x. That stuff rocks. My windsheild washer fluid pump stopped working a few weeks ago. Sadness. :frown:

I have always used the rainx deicer stuff

Yeah x3 on the rain-x stuff. Do they have a temperature rating on the bottle?

Just watch the bottles. Most are good to minus 20 degrees, that's the one you want.

X2, that's what I used when I lived in Anchorage, any windshield fluid that was goo down to -20.

Rain-X has worked great for me when it's been -10 in the mountains up here in Idaho.

Some morons actually have piles and piles of windshield washer fluid that will freeze on you. Checker Auto for example. Be careful, they KNOW it's stinking cold, and they KNOW it will freeze, and they still sell it.

Worst case scenario I dumped a bottle of rubbing alcohol in the mix.:D

I don't know why your fluid didn't freeze back in DC! I live in Baltimore and accidently picked up the summer blend once. Had a rough ride to work that day :) . Stores like to put the summer stuff out front this time of year so they can get rid of stock. Been more vigilant ever since! Good luck in UT
