wanna know something interesting about bmw's plans for the future. They want to run 45 cars per hr by 2017. Said 45 is really 90 cause that is per plant. So 90 cars per hr on 10 hr shifts=1800 cars per day!!! As of right now they are no where near that but they will be there by 2017. Simply amazing.

Amazing unless you work there, then its insane. :bounce:

My bro in law is still there, I certainly dont miss those 14.5 hr nights.

haaa leee lluuuu yaaaaahhhh. LOL still smiling!

saw a awful wreck on 85 saturday. It was the one that involved a 4runner, truck with boat, and i think 2 semi's. One semi's cab completely gone. Another crumpled into the driver. Truck front end torn off and the 4runner slammed under the trailer. Not completely sure how may people died. Then coming back from athens sunday saw a six car accident on the southbound lane. 85 was quiet dangerous this past weekend.

just found out an old friend of mines xplorer was stolen a couple miles from where i live. I think i am gonna have to start parking behind my privacy fence.

Drivers were doing stupid stuff yesterday. Two foreign drivers on the Blue Ridge Parkway apparently couldn't read street signs. The wife and I seemed to come across them everywhere they stopped. They were constantly blocking traffic, pulling over wherever they pleased, and going the wrong way down 1 way drives in congested areas. It was a total cluster...

The last time I saw them we were parked in a lot and getting our hiking stuff out to go on a hike. They decided to drive the wrong way down a 1 way parking area. I flagged the first driver down and said "1 way!" as he zipped by. He didn't think me waving him to stop was important. Luckily the dozen or so elderly people behind me heard me hollaring and they got the heck out of the way. Then his friend thought she would try the same thing...lather rinse repeat... Old people again had to get out of the way... and then the drivers had to turn around to exit and that was another cluster.

Then on the way home the theme seemed to be 'lets swerve in and out of traffic' but not get anywhere any faster. Several cars, both on 26 and secondary roads were driving like idiots - not just typical idiots, but supreme "LOOK AT MEEEEEE!!! I'M AN IDIOT DRIVERRRRR!!!!".

One lady I thought was going to clip my front end when she swerved to change lanes in front of me. I had to hit the brakes and lay on the horn and I don't see how she didn't hit me. She looked in her rear view mirror and flashed me a peace sign. She kept these antics up for about 3 miles to get a whopping 5 seconds in front of me while I followed traffic. And people wonder why so many people die on the roads. :bang:

Oh, another victory for Dig-Dug I forgot to mention...I finally got the airhorns plumbed and wired to a big red button on my center console.

If you don't SEE me coming, you W-I-L-L HEAR me coming - if you are doing something stupid in front of me.

Also just found out the rebuild kit for my steering pump is less than $50. Just need to spend some more quality time in the garage this week.

i am amazed that someone is willing to chance hitting the tanks we call landcruisers. A 40 is one thing but a 60 up and especially the fjcruisers?? No way hozey. Especially if u have a custom bumper on the front end to help push them out of the way!!

What is so strong about a 2 door 4 Runner? My mother in law drove a 4Runner and got t-boned and it crushed like a tin can. But yes a 60, 80, or 100 can take quite a beating. My 40 wasn't too shabby either as a battering ram.

the 40 is no fun getting bounced around in.

The 60 is a tank...wouldn't want to hit that with a semi
