G’day all,

Bringing back a box Prado KZJ78 from Japan this summer as part of my military move. Will be registered in Maryland. Plan on using this as my daily and docile off-road play. Pouring over this forum and the truck, nothing drastic stands out. Any suggestions on what I should have checked here before punching out? Lifting the truck today to check wheel play, appears a caster correction is in order. I did find a disconnected wire from behind the oil filter, trying to figure out what it is.

So far, body and mechanical are very sound. Drives well. A few minor cosmetic items I’ll address, but only gremlins found so far are with the wiper switch and motor. Rewired the horn connectors and got that back. Choke seems inactive. Replaced belts. Registered this morning.

Absolutely bone dry. Been in contact with the restorer, actually, and along with a couple FJ40s, this was restored for himself originally.

I wasn’t able to make it! But chat with Matt regularly. Hope to meet you at the next one.

Just brought it to bring home from Japan after realizing the market back home was a little inconvenient. Will be in NC. I've put 48 kms on it, and the blower already quit. Can't wait to tear it apart with my boy!

I live right up the road in Monument and just picked up a jdm 89 bj71. We should get together sometime.
