Guys,

Any one out there using/renting cars through TURO? Knew this was coming at some point. Supposedly in big cities you can rent any super car you can think of. Raleigh has a newer 911 convertible and a Nissan GT-R. May throw the old 100 series up there and maybe the 40.

Turo – Rent unique cars or earn money renting your car.

The unique part is a little misleading... most of TURO is just every day cars.

Oh look a MKIV jetta.... WOW!!!!

A Hyundai Accent :bounce::bounce2:

but for every 100 bland ones there is the one really great unique car.

There are a couple services like that in this region but I don't know many that use them unless you want to rent that 1 out of the 100 for a great weekend get away.

I'm wondering what the insurance stipulations is.... I mean if you roll it is it your insurance or can you get put on his like renting a car from Hertz?

There is a H1 in seattle that I had thought of renting for my Vancouver Island trip just for the hell of it as it was fairly cheap but never looked in to it that much.

All that keeps coming to my mind is

"Drive it like you stole it"

No thank you, now on the renting someone else's vehicle, different story. Al has a good idea.

What if somebody rents your car and something bad happens like the brakes fail and somebody gets hurt? Could the renter claim negligence on the part of the vehicle owner? Hmmm....
