Hey all.....:)

Wanted to rekindle this one and see if anyone has come up with a solution on how to disable the VSC without loosing the ABS or traction control system. Tough nut to crack but I am sure we can figure this one out.

Robert

they are part of the VSC control. If one were able to take them out, what would remain? Like a cake without eggs & flour, or beer without barley and hopps.

Lock the center differential. Or, if you don't want it locked, you could bypass the system so it looked like the diff was locked, the VSC would be disabled.

Good thought.....it would work but the only problem with that is if you could somehow get the system to think the center diff was locked it would disable both VSC and Traction control.

Right. I don't know how to do it, but if you could send the signal that the CD was locked without locking it, it would accomplish what you want. Seems do-able.

Engage the CD... VSC is disabled, while both ABS and A-TRAC still work :cookie:

Wanted to revive this one because winter is coming again soon....I think that if we modify the CD into thinking its on this would disable the VSC. maybe a switch that allows us to make the computer think the CD is on therefore disabling the VSC.

There is a sensor switch on the transfer case, on the front end I think but check an FSM or parts diagram. That's what signals CD is actually locked so that would be the one to tap into IMO to fake it.

i thought atrac was off once the cdl was on. is this not the case?
