So I'm having a really hard time trying to get all the wiring working!! So this might be a stupid question but, is there a flasher for the turn signals and another one for the hazards? if so where would they be located? I know where the one is, to the left of the clutch pedal. Any help would be great!

I had the same problem when I got mine from the PO. The hazard flasher relay is the one to the left of the clutch, on the driver's footwell firewall. There should be a seperate one for the turn signals located on the passenger footwell firewall.

My turn signal relay had gone bad, and I tried getting one from a local auto parts store that was supposed to be compatiable, but I could never make it work. I bought one from a part out cruiser in the classifieds here on MUD and it worked like a charm. Hope that helps, wiring can be a real pain.

you got any pics?

I may get kicked out for this - But I did not hat $30 for flasher so I just bought the cheapest one at Auto zone, made some jumpers and hooked it up - Works great.

cant seem to find s***!!!!! This sucks!! anyone else have any input?

yes, stock was a single relay and the hazard switch and blinker switch and brake light switch all had connections to each each other

if you are re-wiring with an aftermarket kit, most of those use separate flashers, but it's a good idea to recreate the connections of the circuits nonetheless, since otherwise the hazards will not override the blinker or brake lights

no not re-wiring, just trying to get the stock stuff to work. thanks guys

What is it that it's not doing ? The reason I'm asking is that if the emergency flashers get turned on and then just turned off my tail lights get real goofy acting. I end up with no brake lights. But if I step on the brake pedal and turn off the emergency flashers everything works fine.

I had a no turn signal isssue, flashers worked fine. Replaced turn signal mechanics in the steering wheel, updated to Toyotas replacement flasher (there is only one in driver's footwell) no luck. By chance I was jacking with hazard switch and discovered a sweet spot where everything worked.
Grounds, grounds, grounds....seems to be the common problem. Check them all.
