Turboglide install on my truck (1 Viewer)

Boost doesn't really come at a specific rpm or speed, the boost goes straight to 10 psi when it needs power or underload.

I didn't realize that about turbos. That makes it even better!

A video would definitely be cool!

I can barely see boost on my truck in first gear and on a flat surface, but put it on a 50 degree hill and the boost starts as soon as I touch the throttle it seems.

I notice in the end of the second video, you're off max boost. What rpm are you running there?

when i shift in fifth gear?, i don't see where i'm not at max boost.

Kinda off topic but:

Do you think a turbo 3B still needs to have the fuel turned down when it gets to high attitudes?

For some reason I can't view the video at the moment, it shows up like a tie-dye shirt. But it appeared to only reach 8psi boost after the last gearchange. Will try to view it later from another computer.

Could that because you are looking at the pyrometer on the left instead?

Nope. But it's possible my movie was cut short.
Trying to download it again (it didn't cache after the first view) and I'm on my fourth abortive attempt. Everytime there's an interruption it cancels and restarts from 0.

Just watched my download manager trip from 33% complete to 0% and start again.
Can you compress these to less than 20mb each?

if you are running with the waste gate pressure line closed off you should see 14-16 lbs max. the waste guate still opens after that.

without an intercooler you will be generating a ton of heated air into the cross over so the performance gain from the extra boost actually drops the performance. you need to cool the charge for peak performance.

that is quite impressive that you can get up to 10 lbs with no load...

congrates...

No i'm not, and don't plan to, i'm very happy with what it delivers.

Last years i changed the muffler and went to a 2 1/2" on the orignal pipe. This summer i crushed the pipe along the frame, so i had it changed to 2 1/4" knowing the turbo was coming. So when i got the turbo installed i only had to redo the down pipe to the first flange. They recommand 2 1/4 that is what i went, didn't want to go bigger, the exhaust is running outside the frame on a BJ and it is pretty exposed. LAst thing i want to try is straight pipe. I should do this pretty soon.

Closest picture i have to the finish job is this, will try to post one that show the whole engine bay.

Thanks Eric
Recemonded sounds good on the exaust.I hope to video going up some hills that I know well before and after so you'll be able to count the down shifts. When will u do the after Dyno?
I was also courious to see where u installed your boost tube.

Eric .. prettyimpresive see a bread box running at 120km/h ( or more due to your tire size ) I always love that can do a simple turbo setup ..

I tought your rig tit's running pretty nice .. 10 PSI steady .. and no problems at all ..

Thanks Eric
