STEVE!!! YOU are the guy I've been looking for! Thank God for this forum!

Thank you for posting that data!

It's impossible to back up a plan without data, and you knocked that out of the park!

It sure does keep it reliable though! I had a guy bring me is Lexus ISF and he installed two turbos. When that peaked past 4000 that's exactly what happens to his too. Lots of Toyota computers are factory calibrated to dump fuel at peak tq or just past 3800 area.

I'M GOING TO WORK RIGHT NOW to fire up the computer.

I'll be back this evening to report with good or bad results.

Steve, on your dyno chart, what are the faint dashed lines and the tan line?

Karl

The dashed lines are from a previous run before adding the 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust from EMSPowered. The brownish line is the boost PSI as taken from the FPR line. Essentially this gives a baseline set of runs for the TRD S/C system with and without exhaust modifications.

The shop which did the runs is about 30 minutes from my place, and is willing to help dyno tune if I had a tunable system. They are Audi tuners, but can tweak just about anything.

oh, yeah, it's running. I need to get the cam input detailed, and work on an idle circuit. I'm working on a customers car now. Gotta pay bills too. I promise I'm not putting my v8 in the land cruiser until I get this ecu dialed in.

Don't you worry ;)

I'm going to disagree. 93 nad 94 are VAF and OBDI which would greatly benefit from this. The later ones are OBDII and need something different do to emissions in certain states.

Good point! I do live in one of those states :censor::censor::censor:!!! However, as long as it plug-and-play and you are not throwing codes, why can't you do just that? P-N-P when you have to smog. My exhaust went right through with out a second glance. I am pretty sure I could have gotten away with one cat too if I wasn't so pressed for time the last time I smoged. Because, isn't it more about the O2's and what they are telling the ECU?

I'll let Wayne get into the details but from what he's posted, there is a different solution for the OBDII crowd. I've already identified and bought some larger drop in injectors and when I get there I am hoping I can work with him on that solution.

IMO a solution for the 93/94 trucks that is similar to the one he has here would make those trucks the premium platform for turbo charging.

I didn't realize Richard has already done jumper harnesses for the Land Cruisers.
Check out the link.

This is what will be needed for the OBDII cars. I do believe however, that I'm going to call and talk to him about my other earlier connectors.

The OBDII cars will use the MAP ECU2 to control fuel and timing.
