These are the 3 old pairs that I have. You can usually find them on ebay for a very reasonable price. (SRP5A, 70A, SRP1A)

I have the same race and seal kit. Box is a different color with a different sticker on it. I've seen it in several different brand names.

Great kit either way.

Get the lift!!

This seems way easier than using a c-clamp:

To add to the slide-hammer I bought last week, here is my puller, hook and adapter combo to go with it. Next time I need to rebuild a split case I'll be golden :)

I am 3/4 through writing up the rebuild steps with all the pics I took as I rebuilt my case. I will add in a section for all the tools I used.

Wanted to find out if the intake manifold gasket was seated correctly since small blocks will sometimes punch them out. Amazon had those bluefire boroscopes on sale that plug right into your smart phone. $26 I believe.

While I was goofing around decided to look in a couple cylinders. ... piston tops have some expected Carbon but was pleased to see healthy cross hatch on the walls.

Chainsaws are tools, right?

I used my first yellow label Stihl chain, after some recommendations from fellow ONSC'ers, and holy cow, talk about cutting like a hot knife through butter. Highly recommended.

Watching some videos on chainsaw maintenance, specifically this one from Wranglerstar, showed a pretty cool bar-mounted sharpener. Anyone have experience using a sharpener like this? After paying to have 4 chains sharpened, this tool would have already been paid for:

Ii have an old bench mounted sharpener. Works better than any other. I think Harbor Freight has one similar for $30-$40. Should work fine for home owners, I only use mine 3-4 times a year.
