I can confirm that my 2024 land cruiser has been with the dealer for a month waiting on a new transmission and is effected by the same TSB as the Tacoma. I was in traffic and the land cruiser shuttered and then a whole Christmas tree of lights came on. It seemed to be in limp mode so I pulled over and turned it off and then back on again, most of the error lights disappeared and it drove fine and just have a traction battery error remaining. I took it too the dealership and they confirmed that it was part of a TSB similar to the Tacoma. It's been a full month and I am still waiting on parts. I have escalated to Toyota as well because I have a Moab trip planned and booked over thanksgiving that I am SOL without my land cruiser for. They did give me a tundra to drive in the meantime (but not sure if they want me to send it down chicken corners). I am not mad that they are having the issue as this can happen with new vehicles and they are being proactive about fixing it but I am VERY annoyed on the length of time it is taking them to get the parts for it and the disruption of my plans. If anyone has any advice about how to get them to move faster I am all ears.

My VIN # for reference JTEABFAJ2RK010583

Ugh! Sorry to hear that! Hope they resolve it QUICK.

thanks me too. Need to get it to Moab and I will be VERY sad if I cannot take it since that's why I bought it was for trips like this
yeah if they cannot get it back to me that Tundra might get to see chicken corners first hand. There is some good news that the transmission and torque converter have shown up so they are only waiting for the hybrid battery. They say they can get all the work done in a day so I might be able to get it back in the nick of time.

Good news I got it back just in time for the moab trip. Toyota made it happen. Next post hopefully should be pics from all the fun I am going to have out there.

My trans went on Dec 1st, they found shrapnel in the pan.

Toyota is advising that it’s mid/late February before a replacement would be seen- that’s 70+ days with no fix…….

Pretty disappointed with Toyota here, it lemon law territory now

Wow, what are they giving you to drive for that length of time? Are they offering some benefits to you, like a free extended warranty? That does not seem reasonable to ask a customer who ponied up to pay for a new car to be without for over two months. I'm sure that's crazy frustrating. Sorry to hear that.

They gave me a car for a week- i had to go to Az for a tournament for my daughter and they loaned me a sequoia that they needed back on my return. Nothing offered other than that!

Our family has 4 other cars, but this was my daily

I had already bought the Toyota platinum warranty (7y/100k) when i bought it

I’m honestly over this with Toyota, I requested a rebuy and ill revisit this when they address the issue or get an LX chassis (300)

Cool to run into you out Kane Creek yesterday.
That was super cool that we ran into each other. I also ran into someone that saw a different reddit post I made and the guy that runs the land cruiser museum came to ask my FIL questions about it while I was in a store (sadly I missed him). It's a small world out there sometimes haha.
