Interesting.. they claim the type B fits my year Landcruiser, but the dimensions I got from mine don’t agree with what I’ve seen fit type B on other lights. Might have to double check that before it’s too late to cancel the DD order.

I don’t think the Australian bumper is different..

Edit: the Stedi website says type B fit 16+, so it appears that site has the wrong fitment chart.
I have Stedi fogs, but in a Ironman bumper. They are excellent.

Don't 2016+ 200s have LED fogs from the factory?

if we decide that we trust their website to correctly filter products that fit the 200-series, yes. they claim that this kit fits all 200-series.
Thank you. I will wait to hear from someone if it is a good website or not.

If so, they have fogs and low beams for a 08 and I really need both. But I will wait for you guys to chime in - as I know nothing about this stuff.

I've used this company for all my interior bulbs, all LED turns, and DRL upgrade. All have been excellent products thus far and customer service excellent as well.
I will likely do the fog replacement, but was just wondering if anyone here had used the specific product yet.

I’ve always been curious about the Koito LED-FL12S. It’s an SAE spec, but uses both projector and free form reflectors… The 03 - 06 Lexus LS 430 used this tech for the HID low beam, and was an impressive head light 20 years back.

Style is what it is… blacking it out will help.

hello crew - bumping this thread...
has anyone had experience with the product from HID Kit Pros?

thoughts?
Well, I did the install, but don’t have much of a review for you folks. I’m now tracking down a gremlin.
Did the driver side install, checked for functionality (👍🏼) and buttoned up the wheel arch. Moved to passenger side, install, no functionality on either side now.
Can anyone think of what would cause the working driver side to go out after passenger side install?
Long shot, but this board works miracles.

Thanks!

Bummer. Hope you figure it out. I was hoping someone else tries before I buy them.

Any updates on this thread? My right fog light is rusted out from water intrusion so it is time to replace the housings.
I just released adapter brackets to fit aftermarket tacoma/tundra fogs into 13-15 LC200 factory bumpers. No other product like it out there im aware of. As far as fogs go, I'm a dealer for the big brands like baja designs, morimoto, diode dynamics, KC, rigid, etc. I always recommend Diode dynamics ss3 or Morimoto 4bangers over baja designs, rigid, and KC for on road use. Baja Designs is fantastic for off-road lighting but their SAE/DOT optics don't compare to the other TIR based optics mentioned. There's a 347 page tacomaworld thread where a 3rd party does photometric testing and he came to the same conclusion, though last I checked he hadn't done the 4banger yet.

I just mounted up the sport level diode dynamics in a friend's rig and hooked the amber backlight feature to the parking lights.

Looking to upgrade my factory fogs for fog/snow use. I have similar requirements as @bloc but I have a 13 LX. Also looking for yellow.

I'm looking at DD Elite, DD SS3 Sports and Morimoto XB Evo+ (apple to apple) or DD SS3 Pro/Max.

For the look off/on and the simplicity I like DD Elite best. They have similar output to Morimoto just different distribution: more light in the middle vs. slightly wider beam.

Do you have feedback on them?

How do you switch the color on the XB Evo+?

Is DD SS3 Pro/Max worth the extra cost? They are bright but the beam is not as well controlled as the other options, and I do not want to have the reflection off the snow/fog back into my eyes. Is that a valid concern in your experience?
How hard is to replace the fogs on the LX? Does the bumper have to come off or can this be done from below?

This is my opinion, coming from a dealer of all the mentioned brands, If output is more of a concern/factor than looks, go with the ss3 lineup. I'd personally skip the pro models because it has a taller less controlled beam but the max and sports have exact same pattern, just different intensity. Yellow light doesn't bounce back, it cuts through.

Its significantly easier to replace with bumper off but it is doable from below, once you've removed most the hardware anyways.

I can’t compare different brands as I’ve only used what I installed, though I’m very happy with them. Probably my only compliant is the bracket is some kind of plastic and somewhat flimsy.

Also you’ll probably just want to remove the bumper skin. I did remove and install one side through the bottom and the fog light hole and getting the harness retainers out of their holes on the factory bracket without breaking them through that small of a hole was virtually impossible. The LX fog hole is even smaller. And removing the bumper skin really isn’t that bad.. I can have mine off in about 15 mins. I’d spend way less time doing that than messing with the harness retainers on one side..

I'm not after max output. Thanks for confirming what I saw on pictures about the SS3 Max. About the SS3 Sport the intensity in the tests I saw was about same as the Elite with a different distribution, hot focus in the middle of the beam. My truck is mostly stock looking so the look of the SS3 is not the best. I'm trying to see if going with SS3 Pro is better than Elite. It does have double wattage, but the question do I really need that given these are fog not driving lights?

Did you end up with the yellow Elite?
Yep. Install thread below. I will say I've since removed the bumper skin a couple more times and would go that route vs in the thread saying it can be done leaving the skin in place.
