keep calling him remember he is on mountain time...try a pm and leave a message om his answering machine at work...it sometimes will take a few calls usually in the am is the best time to catch him worth the wait in savings....

Dan's great, but other folks at American Toyota can also help you. Be sure to mention you're a "Mud" member.

Hey folks, I 've been trying to get a hold of Cruiser Dan to talk to him about some parts for my 60 but have had no luck connecting with him. Anyone else had trouble? Maybe he's on vacation? Is there someone else I should ask for, or is Dan the man?

Thanks,
MT
You can just tell them you are a mud member and they will still hook you up;)

I called him earlier this week and left a message. He called me back later that same day. Did you try leaving a message?

So it's worth the effort even with shipping to the northeast?

He was in Cruise Moab last week.

I just ordered some parts from him yesterday, so he is there, likely just super busy.

In NJ sales tax is 7%, gas is nearing $4.00, and my dealer is 15 miles away. No discount worth mentioning, either. Also my time has a value, at least to me. So... definitely worth sourcing parts from CDAN or one of the other Mud-friendly dealers, even with shipping.

My local dealer had to clarify with me that I did not want parts for a 1988 FJ Cruiser, but a LAND Cruiser...I should have walked out then.

for me, yes.
my local stealerships don't knock a percentage off, they throw a percentage on. for the privalage of owning such a fine machine.........

Just got off the phone with Cruiser Dan. Very helpful, and yes, worth it with shipping included. Beat my local guys on price by a good chunk.

Thanks Dan!

Awesome! I will persist!

Don't know. I figured I would try talking with him (since he's highly recommended by the Mud folks) and compare the quotes I'm getting locally.

Don't bother shopping around. Get your parts from Dan. Try Faxing him what you are looking for. I spent ~240.00 with him this morning.
