Mine is sagging in a few places and has come loose in the back corner, so it's time.

Any suggestions for sound deadening materials, adhesives (I'm a fan of 3-M super 75/90) and fabric? Techniques?

Thanks!

FWIW I might have a lead on a few nos front parts of the headliner,at this moment I have not figured out if it is for the 75 pu or the troopy,I will be visiting my supplier in Europe later this week and will take a closer look.

i just started taking mine off, good lord what a PIA. Looking to redo when its warmer out.

I'm thinking about a layer self-stick sound-deadener of some kind/brand then a layer of squishy headliner fabric, but I'm open to ideas.

I asked the TOA guys for creative ideas, so we'll see what comes of that.

After the PITA cleaning process, what's your plan @AndrewHadji ?

not sure, depending on how work is going, i might be looking at next year getting the alucab hercules installed. If work turns to s***, im looking at some colorful material backed by a layer of sound/thermal. heres to hoping!

OK. Got the first section of headliner out and most of the foam. Now I have the leftover glue residue to remove before putting up dynamat's "dynaliner" then a new foam backed headliner. I've read/heard everything from 409 > peanut butter > acetone will take it off. Never heard from the TOA guys, so maybe someone here has an idea?

I used goo-gone citrus spray on mine along with a heat gun and scraper. I remade it in three sections like the original but out of foam backed fabric.

Got a few wrinkles in it, but I was installing it by myself. A second set of hands would help! I used 3M adhesive spray, whatever the strongest one they made was. Sprayed the roof, sprayed the fabric, waited for it to get tacky and then installed. I'm happy with the end result.

Where did you buy the foam backed fabric ?

Thanks

He linked to an Amazon product there at the end of the post Joeri. I bet you can find some close to you at an old school upholstery place.
The cheap stuff has a tendency to crease and show fingerprints really easy. Sunbrite is a widely distributed option that has good quality foam.
The heavier duty stuff would be perfect for a Troopy but get real expensive real fast. Morbern has some great foam backed vinyl that is durable and cleans easier.
