Step on up! I think it would look awesome and be functional as well.

Mine was painted to match the color. so mine is monotone. looks 300x better. only way to go. take it to a body shop and have them paint the trim and the bumpers.

ill post some pics up tomorrow if it isnt raining out. and i should prob wash my rig first too. lol.

Well, I figured someone had better do something. So, from ugly, to taped and sanded with 120 grit:

Looks great. I will be doing the same. I just need to figure out which color to use. Where did you buy the duplicolor spray on liner?

In the photos it looks gray? Congrats on being the first and willing - I think it looks good. I know I will either copy or have the whole piece done to Black out the vehicle.

Thanks for posting pics

GREAT job Trunk Monkey. I've been trying to figure out what to do with the trim for some time. My only problem is a few pieces of mine are peeling outside the center area you painted. I may try to paint the whole thing???

ours is fading a bit in the middle, but it doesn't look too bad, kinda marblish looking.
Coupla dings and peeling on the outside edge of the trim too, from parking door dings (bastids!)

I may try to paint the whole thing???

Sand it good to give it a tooth for the liner to stick to, mask really well up and down and you should be fine. Like I said, I did all 4 fender flares on my 80 and it held up well. Dunno if it'd survive a power washer but it was pretty durable. Branches on the trail wouldn't mar it.

trunk, think it would stand up to small rocks hitting it at 80mph? Thinking about painting my grille with it since the flat i painted it with has been chipping from rocks.

I was considering actually using Herculiner and rolling it on the entire trim piece, and possibly even below the trip piece. I wonder how it would come out, if I rolled it on if it will fill the seams.
