I don't think there is anything on a cruiser that is 16mm, or 15mm, for that matter.

Me neither just my open end 17mm seemed so large against it. The hose appears completely stock though. Didn't have time last night, I'll post back when I do.
 
for whatever reason I found the metric brake fittings do fit loose in the metric line wrenches. I ended up using sae , they fit tighter. And sometimes it was just take the T , hardlines , and soft lines and rip em off and get new stuff on ebay or start PM'ing people who have replaced already and try to find good used stuff.
