I have a nearly identical setup (2013; toughdog/total chaos; Tundra TRD pro; bfg ko2 275/70r18...) And similar rubbing issues: turning left, full lock rubs on kdss. In reverse, while turning rubs a mudflap sometimes. Sounds like a card in bike spoke. ✊
Did you try wheel spacers? I looked again and it appears that the spacers may fix the rubbing on KDSS but may push the wheel out and create less distance from the front fender well at certain positions. I ordered the wheel spacers, but I may leave as is...the card in my bicycle spokes was cool but not so much on the LC -Ha

I have not done spacers. I do like the look/stance... But after spending even more time reading up on spacers than the wheel/tire combo I'm not sure if it's worth it? (Other rubbing, wear and tear, America's tire not touching cars with them... Yet some highly respected voices are ok with them.)

does anyone know if the Tundra BBS TRD wheels are actually 60mm offset? and if so, are the bronze heritage version also 60? or are they the stock 56mm? I want the heritage wheels, but was considering making a set with the Tundra wheels if they are in fact the same.

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

That listing is what made me ask the question. It doesn’t tell me if the heritage wheels are 60 as well. And also not 100% sure they are right.

I guess I am too trusting, in my mind they are in the business of selling OEM wheels so I am assuming they try to add accurate info to each listing. However, clerical errors can always be made the person entering the info. Their information was correct on my TRD Pro wheels. I am not familiar with the heritage wheels. Happy Hunting!

They did get the offsets correct for 08-15 vs 16+ landcruiser wheels.. so that’s a small vote of confidence

Here’s how the TRD tundra BBS wheels look on an 08. Used same tires off 08 stock wheels. They were powder coated to match center caps

Here are my Tundra wheels on my winter skinnies (RW for the summer).

If anyone considers cloning these to match the Heritage, be careful with traditional powder coating. I researched it and decided not to do it. The army core of engineers states forged wheels should not be heated above 325 degrees after their initial aging (and when the factory powder is put on), and powder coating is not advisable. Alcoa states that heating their forged wheels to 300 degrees would weaken integrity. Most powder requires approximately 30 minutes at close to 400 degrees. Generally with aluminum, you need to preheat for outgassing as well to avoid bubbling (usually an hour at 50-100 degrees higher than curing temp) which would exacerbate the issue. Outgassing may not be an issue with these wheels. I'm sure the wheels are very strong and a few have powdered theirs with no immediate ill effects. With how heavy our rigs are, I had no desire to risk it.

If you decide to powder, at a minimum I would look for a coater that offers low temp curing powder, or UV curing, which requires much lower heat.

Also wheel places like about don't usually have sets. You can get center caps from any of our parts suppliers.

Also gorilla has OE lugs that are black now also if you want to get rid of chrome lug nuts also.

Got a link to these black oe lugs?

Looking to pickup these wheels and was wondering what spacers or Bridgestone KO3 sizes will work with stock height on a 2009 LC - I'm reading the thread and seeing some rubbing and was wondering what size I should order the tires in to avoid that?

Stock height you can go with original size which is 285/60 but 275/70 and 285/65 are both viable options. I have 275/70 on the same wheels with NO spacers and before alignment I was barely kissing the drivers side KDSS bar at full lock. I have trimmed zero plastics and removed nothing.

Sorry to bump this but question for you BBS wheel guys..

Which Tundra BBS pro's had "TRD" on the edge vs the "pro"

I'm planning on grabbing a set soon and wanted to verify what these came off of.

Thank you guys!

Pic of what I'm looking at.. any help with this?

Thank you guys!

As I know it, there were various versions in black (glossy vs matte) that all were on the Tundra depending on the year. I think the matte black pro version looks best and what I have on my rig.

Based on the Toyota parts site both -02 (option #1) and -F2 (option #2) are official BBS TRD Pro wheels but -02 is described as Matte Black and -F2 is described as Flat Black. The accessory TRD BBS wheel (option #3) is called matte black wheels but says they are flat black completing the circle of madness.

Thank you both! Beyond excited to get these and this makes me feel better about it. 👍

Sequoias also had them too. Should help your search. I believe mine originally came off a Sequoia, same part # and specs as tundra variant
