Transmition stalls eng. 4L-R only (1 Viewer)

Transmition problem...Eng. stalls immediately when put in 4L-R. All other positions work fine.

Also, eng. will not hold 650 rpm idle. intermitant. Cold eng. idl. speed OK. A/C on idle speed OK. ECU(?) senses low idle and will reset within 10 sec back to 650 rpm and all is well, smooth idle, no hesitation, apply brake and idle comes up slightly except in R-High. Drive around the block and idle will drop back down to 2-300 rpm.
No ECM fault codes
No TCM fault codes
Could these be related problems? Please ask more Q's.

Your tranny is fine.

Most likely culprit is a cracked intake tube (between the air filter housing and the throttle body). Check it very thoroughly.

Next on the list would be worn/burnt wires where the wiring harness passes by the EGR. Again, inspect very thoroughly.

Thanks for the lead. I just got off work and will go start checking. I have heard about the wire harness/EGR problem. Is there a part # for the harness or is it R&R wires as needed?
