Can anyone recommend a mechanic to service/diagnose my transmissions issues. Im in Charlotte NC. The tranny has issues shifting into reverse in the mornings and Saturday , would not shift into R at all. Some minor slipping issues in first and from first to second.

95 Cruise with 320,100 miles!

Do a search for transmission solenoid problems, with that many miles most likely all 4 of your solenoids need to be changed.

Try the Old North State Cruisers clubhouse forum. Either Charlotte dealership can do the work, they both have experienced Land Cruiser mechanics, but there's a cost associated with them, of course. PM me if you want the benefit of my personal experience in Charlotte, I've lived here, with my Land Cruisers, for over 20 years.

FWIW, I would not take my truck to anyone at a "transmission repair shop", anywhere.

x2 to @Rifleman's post.

So you mentioned a charlotte dealership...where is this located and how can I get in touch with them?

Google is your friend, phone call would be my choice

Pick your closest one. There are two others nearby as well. Gastonia. And Concord if those are closer.

I believe Malleus is a town n country fan but drop him a line for local experience as he suggested

FWIW i have a 95 transmission missing Torque converter with 190k in my shop if you end up needing. Im 2-2.5 hrs north. Just above greensboro. $100?

@landonridge, there are three, but one I consider a criminal enterprise, and I won't mention it by name. My experience with Toyota of North Charlotte, is that they swap parts readily, but their business model is strongly influenced by Toyota repair estimates for time of repair. They have done good work for me in the past, but if they feel they won't make money on the repair, based on the repair books, they either will decline the repair or tell you your only choice is to swap the entire unit. Town and Country Toyota has a couple of mechanics who have worked on Land Cruisers, but their expert is gone. They will however, work on a time and materials basis, if their quoted repair price doesn't suit you. Neither will be cheap.

There are other choices, if you don't want to diagnose the problem yourself. I don't have any experience with him, but if the truck's not your daily driver and you can get to Greenville, you might contact @Trollhole and see what he thinks.

That's a deal! I wish I needed a transmission.

FWIW, I'm not a dealership fan, but I have used some in the past when I needed something done faster that I could do it myself, or when I was out of town. I'm happy to share my experiences, but I don't recommend anyone unless they run a business I would run myself.
