A local aftermarket autoparts store (like Pep Boys) should carry a plastic pump that screws onto a standard plastic gallon jug of gear oil. That will allow you to pump the gear oil from the gallon jug up and into the fill port on the transmission or transfer case.

So I'm about to drop it, but I'd like to get an opinion on where to place the jack. I have no idea how heavy it is, but I don't want to unbolt it and have it fall off the jack stand.
All of the options seem like it wont sit well on the jack because the transfer case is at a different level than the tranny.

Also, should I take out all "A" bolts so the support member is taken off? I took out the "B" bolts and screwed them in the bottom of the nut so I wouldn't lose them.

The manual says to take out the 4 bolts in the lower left diagram but it doesn't seem necessary. Also, not sure if I need to take the exhaust pipe off.

Very Newbie here - So I opened the Transfer case fill plug, I have a slight leak so I was just looking to top it off. Well to my surprise about a half quart came out of the fill plug. Is this normal? How would I refill above this plug? This is a new build. Thanks in advance guys, just learning here.

Thank you for taking the time to answer. So for the transmission levels, just open the fill and top off? Same oil as I was planning on using in the TC? Lucas SAE 80W-90 in the Tranny?The extra oil came from your transmission. Now your transmission oil level is low.
The bypass hose Spike mentioned above works when the oil gets pumped up hill into the transmission (from the transfer case) but it won't work in your situation because the transfer case which is lower than the transmission is filling up.
So just keep an eye on it. Every few thousand miles check the oil levels in both cases and adjust accordingly.
The only way to stop the oil migration (for a while) is to replace the input shaft seal in the transfer case — taking it apart.

My orings are sandwhiched between to pressed washers. If you use and oring without them youll probably tear the oring. So in this case a crush washer would be better without having the pressed washers. You can reuse the crush washer a couple times if lucky best if you replace them every time though and the cost isnt that muchShould there be a gasket or o ring on the transmission fill plug? When I pulled it there was none.
